Verified ClientHired Attorney 2020-2022I was on long-term disability for a while and then they decided to terminate it.So I decided I needed a lawyer. So I began searching for legal help and it seems as if there was none out there for me I was getting turned down by several lawyers. Then I decided I will try one more time that's when I saw the Guerrini and Thompson law firm advertisement. I called them up and spoke with John Thompson he told me he would give me a call back in a couple days in which he did and at that time he said that he specializes in erisa and believe there's something that he can do to help me. Let me say this not only did he help me he got me a settlement that was more than I expected and for those that are looking for a lawyer in that field I would suggest that you try Mr Thompson because he really does what he said. He's a lawyer that will speak to you whenever you call give you the advice that you need and he will also let you know whether or not he can help upfront. Personally I call him a lawyer for the people thank you so much Ms Thompson

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
