Verified ClientHired Law firm 2020-2022Guerrini and Thompson is what I call a law firm for the people. I was cut off of my long-term disability for no reason and after searching a while I came across this law firm so I gave them a call and spoke with Mr Thompson and which he told me at that time that he specialized in these type of cases that he called erisa. Long story short he took my case and he did exactly what he said he would do. They're not many lawyers that will advise you as the case goes on and will call you and let you know what he's doing to resolve your case. With that being said he settled the case for more than I expected in which I was very happy and I hope that this will help you to make him your first choice your best choice so that you can get the help you need without having to search for lawyers that are going to waste your time. Mr John Thompson I thank you for all that you did for me and my family, you help me out of a bad situation and I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't contact you. THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH.

Verified ClientConsulted Law firm 2020I have never been so impressed with such a caring attitude! Even though John Thompson was not able to help me with my case, he took the time to explain all my options in detail. He was extremely polite and kind...

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
