Overview
Beth E. Maultsby has dedicated much of her life to helping families by serving as a judge, lawyer and social worker. A partner at the firm since 2005, she practices all aspects of family law including complex property issues and child-related matters. As a skilled problem-solver, Ms. Maultsby guides families through challenging issues such as substance abuse, mental illness, domestic violence, and child abuse. Utilizing her extensive experience in working with families, she provides clients with the necessary resources to achieve rational, lasting settlements. Recognizing Beth’s expertise, courts and other attorneys have chosen her to represent children in difficult family law matters. She practices Collaborative Law and often assists parties in successfully mediating their family law disputes.
Prior to joining Goranson Bain, Beth served as the Judge of the 303rd Family District Court and as the Associate Judge of the 301st Family District Court. Before her judicial service, Beth was a partner at the law firm of Gardere & Wynne, L.L.P. where she practiced family law involving complex property matters and child-related issues. Before embarking on her legal career, Beth worked with children in crisis and was recognized as an expert in the field of child abuse.
Beth has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in Family Law (2007-2012) and Family Law Mediation, in 2008-2011 by Woodward/ White, Inc. She was named in Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine in 2007, Best Women Lawyers in Dallas in 2010, and Texas Super Lawyers from 2008-2010 by Thomson Reuters. Beth volunteers her time to organizations that deal with domestic violence in families and children in need. She has authored numerous papers and spoken on numerous family law issues at different public engagements.
