    Hired Attorney 2023-2024
In my opinion, it's time he retires or remembers what he's supposed to be doing; helping people who have lost a loved one due to medical malpractice. He wasted almost a year of our time saying he would research and get us the best professionals to help with our case. When we called for an update, after hearing NOTHING for months, he asked "what name which hospital?" and then "I'M DONE! I'M DONE! GET ANOTHER ATTORNEY!" In my opinion, he's in cahoots with that hospital - shame on him! SHAME ON HIM! I bet there are records showing he has sided with this place of death. He should be disbarred. May God do to him what he's done against those who depended on him. My son was INNOCENT, the sweetest child ever, and his life was taken as if he was nothing. This man should be very ashamed of himself for being just as bad as those who ended his life. I am disgusted.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
