El Paso Family Law Firm

Overview

All attorneys are not created equal. Some do not return phone calls. Some let the courts drive the timing of a case. Some let cases sit on a shelf until the client calls with a question. If you need a positive legal experience with a criminal defense attorney, small business legal counsel or with your divorce lawyer, you should know that I am not like other lawyers. As a solo practitioner, I can give you the attention you deserve. I'm assisted by two certified paralegal assistants who are up to date on your case and are available to answer questions if I am in court. If I'm not in court, I'm available to take your call.

A jury consists of twelve people who determine which client has the better lawyer. - Robert Frost

I enjoy going to court, but most of my cases do not end up in court. Why? Because when a case is well prepared, it is often resolved out of court. I present a realistic picture of options to my clients, and a strong case to opposing counsel. Referrals from former clients and ongoing representation of my small business clients are a testament to the successes I've been able to achieve on behalf of my clients. Keep in mind that success is not always acquittal or achieving 100% of your goals. Success is achieving what you can reasonably expect. As a criminal defense attorney working in Eastside Texas, I've found that success in a drug case may mean a lesser charge and a lower fine. As family law firm representing individuals in El Paso, TX, I've found that success in a family law dispute may mean a compromise each spouse can live with that does not further damage the children. I always strive for a successful outcome – whether before a jury or a judge, in a pre-trial motion, or through a well-crafted contract.

Unprofessional and misses deadlines in court. Look for another law firm.

Avoid Mark T. Davis Law Firm at All Costs My experience with Mark T. Davis Law Firm was nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, their incompetence and lack of professionalism were glaringly evident. Firstly, communication was abysmal. It was nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone, and when I did, they seemed disinterested and uninformed about my case. Emails were often ignored or replied to weeks later with vague, unhelpful responses that left me more confused than before. Secondly, their legal expertise left much to be desired. It became evident that they were out of touch with current laws and procedures relevant to my case. This lack of knowledge resulted in costly delays and ultimately a less favorable outcome than I had hoped for. Additionally, their billing practices were suspect. I was charged exorbitant fees for basic services that should have been included in their standard representation. It felt like they were nickel-and-diming me at every turn, with little regard for the actual value they were providing. In conclusion, choosing Mark T. Davis Law Firm was a decision I deeply regret. They are unresponsive, incompetent, and exploitative. Save yourself the stress and financial burden—look elsewhere for legal representation that actually cares about your case and knows what they're doing.

Mark T. Davis is an amazing law firm. This firm has diligently, effectively and properly handled two orders of business for my family. Attorney George Mansouraty worked very steadfast to fix a leftover mess from my divorce from my ex- husband, where I'd been awarded 50% of his military retirement; but later found out that the wording was inadequate in the Quadro years after the conclusion of the divorce. Hence, until the wording was amended and accepted by DFAS, I was unable to receive my part of the military retirement. George listened to me. He immediatly saw where the problems were that needed to be fixed to attain approval by DFAS of my paperwork. George tirelessly worked to successful completion on my case. My entire family THANKS George, for having known what to do to see that justice was finally won for me in this matter. George is our family lawyer for life. He is ethical, and moral, and a really nice Attorney. He is compassionate and kind, funny, and very smart. He is not afraid, nor cowers, to other lawyers. I found this so refreshing about George, from the get-go. Before having met George, I'd dealt with many El Paso lawyers who did not know how to fix my Quadro paperwork, and gladly took my money and produced nothing. This law firm also did a great job taking care of our family estate planning, wills, power of attorneys, and medical directives. They did an excellent, professional job. We are completely satisfied, over and above, with how this law firm operates. The staff at this office were very competent and very nice, and easy to work with.  Mark T. Davis Firm Gets the Job DONE. THANK YOU for that! From Brenda B.- Army Veteran, and Husband Jerry B.- Retired Army Sgt. Major.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE IDIOTS! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. GEORGE MISSED MY FIRST HEARING FOR MY CHILD CUSTODY CASE CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO WAIT 3 MONTHS BEFORE WE GOT ANOTHER HEARING. WHEN WE DID GET TO THE FIRST HEARING, TEMPORARY ORDERS, HE DECIDED TO BE IN AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ROOM, AND HAD NO CLUE WHAT MY CASE WAS ABOUT. HE WAS UNABLE TO DEFEND ME AGAINST THE CLAIMS MY EX-WIFE WAS MAKING AGAINST ME. WEEKS WENT BY AND HE DID NOT PROVIDE ME WITH A COPY OF THE TEMP ORDERS. I HAD TO CALL TO GET THEM. WHEN I FINALLY GOT THEM, I DISCOVERED A LOT OF STUFF HAD BEEN ADDED THAT BENEFITED MY EX-WIFE. I BROUGHT IT UP TO HIS ATTENTION AND HE CLAIMED HE WOULD FIX IT. HE DIDNT. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, THE FINAL HEARING WAS COMING UP AND HE CANCELED WITHOUT TALKING TO ME FIRST. HE THEN ASKS FOR ANOTHER $3,500 WHICH I BROUGHT WITHIN TWO WEEKS. AFTER GIVING HIM THE MONEY, HE TELLS ME THAT I SHOULD BE AWARE THAT I WILL LIKELY LOSE MY CASE. ALMOST LIKE HE WAS LETTING ME KNOW HE WASN'T GOING TO PUT THE EFFORT IN FIGHTING FOR ME. I SHOWED HIM THAT I HAD A MAJOR CHANGE IN PAY THAT SHOULD REDUCE MY CHILD SUPPORT AND HE SAID HE PROBABLY COULDNT GET THAT CHANGED EITHER. THIS HAD BEEN GOING ON FOR ALMOST 8 MONTHS. I BEGAN SENDING EMAILS TO COMPLAIN ON HIM AND EVEN SENT AN EMAIL DIRECTLY TO MARK DAVIS ABOUT GEORGES PERFORMANCE. THEY SET UP A MEETING AMD BROUGHT MY CONCERNS UP. GEORGE ADMITTED HE HAD OTHER BIGGER CASES HE HAD BEEN WORKING ON THAT HAD TAKEN UP HIS TIME. BY THE TIME I LEFT, I THOUGHT HE HAD A BETTER UNDERSTANDING THAT I WANTED BETTER REPRESENTATION. NOTHING CHANGED. HE HAD TO CANCEL THE NEXT HEARING BECAUSE HE DID NOT FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS WHEN I TOLD HIM I WANT A ALL DAY TRIAL. THE ONE HE SET UP WAS A TWO HOUR TRIAL. MY EX WAS WITHHOLDING MY DAUGHTER FROM ME AND I COMPLAINED MULTIPLE TIMES. AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS, HE FINALLY REQUESTS THE COURTS TO ENFORCE THE ORDER AND THE FINAL TEMPORARY ORDER WAS SIGNED 5 MONTHS AFTER THE HEARING FOR TEMPORARY ORDERS WAS SET. NOW IT IS AUGIST 2023. WE HAD A HEARING SET FOR THE 29TH BUT THE COURT RESET IT. I MESSAGED GEORGE ABOUT MY FRUSTRATION OVER THE RESETS AND HE MESSAGED BACK CLAIMING HE DIDNT FULLY UNDERSTAND MY FRUSTRATION BUT HE WAS TRYING TO FINALIZE THE CASE, WHICH WAS SET FOR SEPTEMBER 2023. I RESPONDED TO HIM A LIST OF ISSUES THAT HE CAUSED FOR MY CASE TO BE EXTENDED BY AT LEAST 8 MONTHS AND HE RESPONDED CLAIMING HE HAS DONE ALL HE COULD AND WOULD BE WITHDRAWING AS MY ATTORNEY. I HAVE PAID THIS LAW FIRM ALMOST $7,000 AND GOT NO RESULTS WHATSOEVER. FOR ALMOST A YEAR WHILE DEALING WITH THEM, I WENT IN THE OFFICE AND SAW TWO DIFFERENT CLIENTS IN THE WAITING ROOM TALKING TO THE ASSISTANCE DEMANDING TO KNOW WHERE THEIR MONEY WENT. INWAS THE 3RD. COMPLETELY WORTHLESS. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY TRUST ME ON THIS!!!!!! UPDATE: Had another court hearing today. Postponed again, this time over a month. Also discovered that my attorney from Mark Davis lawfirm never responded to motions brought by the other attorney. Mark, your office does not practice law....you practice deceptive business! Completely worthless! Mark, you claim to have been a victim of child alienation that resulted in a horrible outcome. This is coming from an attorney who knew how to challenge the system and still loss...now you drain the pockets of men dealing with the same situation because you know how desperate we are. Then brag about your cars, homes and businesses on social media...all paid for at the price of our mental health. A year and no work was done....still my $7,000 fattened your pockets. If your office did not have the resources to work diligently on my case, then why accept it in the first place? I will work overtime to expose you and your office.

Mr. Davis was the lawyer who started with my husband on his case. He then turned it over to his associate, George Mansouraty without any notification given to us. George was condescending, unwilling to listen to the details we were giving him and quite simply made things much more difficult for our family. Financially and emotionally. Not a very nice person. If you end up working with Mark, you should be ok. George? I would just go to another law firm.

A joke. Will hire anyone with no work ethnic and no work history check unless they bring Mark Davis publicity. El Paso’s worst lawyer, beware.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
