Hired Law firm 2025-2026He's a con artist Claims without a doubt he can win your cause just to get your money four thousand dollars up front Never no meetings to go over your case or information. Pass's you off to his incompetent son who was always late filing documents fumbling the ball every step of the way They had like a year to get their act together on my case But yet waited to last minute to prepare anything and made excuse after excuse and lies and totally screw me over got me for seven thousand dollars and wanted another twelve thousand to go to trial when they quoted me four thousand Then it was supposed to be a simple get my twenty six thousand from a non paying customer to now Deceptive trade They set up arbitration another 650 dollars never told me what to have in hand for information needed or evident and his son now my attorney shows up unprepared with nothing Fumbles the ball again he had all the information I gave it to him what a total mess Then they told me to tell the Judge I was out of money that it was a tactic to buy more time so I could raise another twelve thousand dollars they were demanding when I finally raise the money Now they don't know me Total BS and corrupt if you ask me I ended up turning it over to my liability insurance I'm out twenty six thousands dollars from my customer because of their incompetence and another seven thousand six hundred and fifty dollars to them Not right They should not be allowed to practice law and do clients this way

Overview
All attorneys are not created equal. Some do not return phone calls. Some let the courts drive the timing of a case. Some let cases sit on a shelf until the client calls with a question. If you need a positive legal experience with a criminal defense attorney, small business legal counsel or with your divorce lawyer, you should know that I am not like other lawyers. As a solo practitioner, I can give you the attention you deserve. I'm assisted by two certified paralegal assistants who are up to date on your case and are available to answer questions if I am in court. If I'm not in court, I'm available to take your call.
A jury consists of twelve people who determine which client has the better lawyer. - Robert Frost
I enjoy going to court, but most of my cases do not end up in court. Why? Because when a case is well prepared, it is often resolved out of court. I present a realistic picture of options to my clients, and a strong case to opposing counsel. Referrals from former clients and ongoing representation of my small business clients are a testament to the successes I've been able to achieve on behalf of my clients. Keep in mind that success is not always acquittal or achieving 100% of your goals. Success is achieving what you can reasonably expect. As a criminal defense attorney working in Eastside Texas, I've found that success in a drug case may mean a lesser charge and a lower fine. As family law firm representing individuals in El Paso, TX, I've found that success in a family law dispute may mean a compromise each spouse can live with that does not further damage the children. I always strive for a successful outcome – whether before a jury or a judge, in a pre-trial motion, or through a well-crafted contract.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
