Hired Law firm 2023-2025Eric is not just a great attorney but he’s the guy you want on your side when everything feels like it’s falling apart. Family law issues are emotional, messy, and exhausting. Eric stayed calm when I wasn’t. He always answered my calls, talked me through my anxiety, and never once made me feel like I was “too much.” He’s practical, level headed, and was genuinely compassionate toward my situation. I appreciated having a lawyer who also wanted what was best for the children involved. Don't mistake his compassion for weakness though, Eric is a go getter who will do everything in his power to help you. I was in a very sticky situation, and this wasn’t a quick fix. He stayed committed to my case for years until everything was fully resolved. That kind of consistency and dedication matters. His rates are fair, and he’s willing to work with you as long as you communicate with him. He doesn’t overpromise. He shows up and he follows through with what he says. If I ever need legal help again, he will be my first call without hesitation!!!

Consulted Law firm 2025My first free consultation with attorney Eric Little was back in 2019. His advice related to a real estate transaction was invaluable. Today, for the second time, he not only gave me incredibly useful advice, he saved me from doing something very stupid. This is why you consult lawyers -- to understand your options and to find out if what you're thinking about doing is a bad idea. I highly recommend Mr. Little, particularly for real estate related issues.

Hired Law firm 2018-2025I’ve had the privilege of working with Eric R. Little for several years on family court matters, and I can honestly say that he is everything you want in an attorney—compassionate, strategic, experienced, and deeply committed to the people he represents. Family court can be one of the most emotionally draining and complex areas of law, but Eric approaches it with a level of understanding and empathy that is rare to find. He takes the time to get to know your situation in detail, offers thoughtful legal advice tailored to your needs, and never treats you like just another case. He always follows through, stays in close communication, and makes sure you’re fully prepared for every step of the process. Eric’s legal acumen is truly impressive. His knowledge of family law is extensive, and his courtroom presence is confident, articulate, and professional. He knows how to navigate complex issues while keeping your goals and best interests at the forefront. In every interaction, Eric has gone the extra mile—not because he has to, but because he truly believes in the work he’s doing and the people he’s helping. If you’re looking for a family law attorney who will be both your strongest advocate and your greatest source of support, I cannot recommend The Law Office of Eric R. Little more highly.

Hired Law firm 2024While calling around all over Galveston county, and having several consultations, we spoke with Eric Little one time and decided to retain him. We explained everything in an honest conversation. He had no judgement or opinions. We went with a gut instinct and it proved to be beneficial. His retainer was fair, and straight forward from the beginning. Mr. Little has a professional approach that involves facts and proof that will stop a case from dragging forward and costing you a ton of money. He is straight-forward, professional, and he is a no-nonsense kind of Attorney. He does not sugar coat anything for either side. He has a professional relationship in the courts. He suggested what to get to prepare, we did just that, he presented it to the opposing Attorney and it all ended in mediation. The other parent wanted sole custody, my son was awarded equal rights (the same that the mother has) he was awarded extended visitation, shared holidays, and the mother received a geographic restriction (the mother wanted to move hours away). He made sure the other parent can't just up and take his children away from the family they are attached to, and were born and raised with. His emphasis was not taking love and commonality away from innocent children. Cases hardly ever end good for the father, and he made sure this one did. Hopefully we will not need him again ;) but if YOU need a decent Attorney and you are a good parent just wanting your earned and deserved rights to your child/children, I recommend you give him a try.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
