4.5 out of 5 stars

While calling around all over Galveston county, and having several consultations, we spoke with Eric Little one time and decided to retain him. We explained everything in an honest conversation. He had no judgement or opinions. We went with a gut instinct and it proved to be beneficial. His retainer was fair, and straight forward from the beginning. Mr. Little has a professional approach that involves facts and proof that will stop a case from dragging forward and costing you a ton of money. He is straight-forward, professional, and he is a no-nonsense kind of Attorney. He does not sugar coat anything for either side. He has a professional relationship in the courts. He suggested what to get to prepare, we did just that, he presented it to the opposing Attorney and it all ended in mediation. The other parent wanted sole custody, my son was awarded equal rights (the same that the mother has) he was awarded extended visitation, shared holidays, and the mother received a geographic restriction (the mother wanted to move hours away). He made sure the other parent can't just up and take his children away from the family they are attached to, and were born and raised with. His emphasis was not taking love and commonality away from innocent children. Cases hardly ever end good for the father, and he made sure this one did. Hopefully we will not need him again ;) but if YOU need a decent Attorney and you are a good parent just wanting your earned and deserved rights to your child/children, I recommend you give him a try.

I own a Private Investigation firm AFPI Global Investigations in Georgia and was contacted by Attorney Eric Little to help with a Case involving a Sexual Preditor. In my 17 years as a Detective I have never experienced an attorney with determination and professional character as Eric. Not only in daily contact but into the midnight hours for the betterment of the children and families involved. I seldom write reviews but Attorney Eric Little should be recognized for his true compassion and diligence for his clients.

Eric put together a Lady Bird Deed for me and my ex-spouse. I found him to be easy to work with, clear on his fee structure, professional and down to earth. The one minor hitch in the process was a communication to me, which he apologized for. If I was in serious trouble, I would call Mr. Little and say, "Help!" Do you want to pay for granite facades, teak conference tables and a "let me churn this case for as long as possible" legal firm or would you prefer to come on down to Galveston Bay, sit down and discuss your case with the guy who actually goes into the courtroom, rather than a legal secretary or office manager?

Mr. Little's dedication and professionalism during my case were absolute. He ensured I was taken care of from start to finish. Mr. Little was quick to respond to all of my questions, even when some were asked after normal business hours. Mr. Little knows his profession well. He was able to achieve the desired results in my case, as discussed prior to the court preceding. Mr. Little also showed compassion when dealing with sensitive subjects throughout the duration of my case. I would definitely recommend Mr. Little to whoever needs their courtroom issues handled correctly.

Eric is an excellent criminal attorney and was able to get my case completely dismissed on my first court appearance. Professionalism, good communication, and he was extremely knowledgeable and comfortable in the Galveston County courtroom. Highly recommend.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
