Verified ClientHired Attorney 2011My husband and I were in a serious car accident. For almost 2 years the insurance kept saying they would be fair in settling with us. Less than 30 days before the statute of limitation was set to run, they offered us less than 25% of our medical bills. Their attitude was "take it or leave it." In a panic I found Jack online and called his office. Within 3 days, a lawsuit was filed and Jack engaged in almost hand to hand combat with the insurance lawyers for almost a year. They filed every motion imaginable. He answered every motion, attended every hearing and destroyed every roadblock they threw up at him. The net result? At the mediation just before trial, the insurance paid us 10 times what our medical bills and out of pocket were in the case. They paid out their entire policy to us. Jack was kind and considerate of our needs throughout the entire. He consulted with us every step of the way and kept us informed as to all that was going on in our case at all times. If you want sharp & aggressive representation, Jack is the lawyer for you. He was awesome and did a great job for us. I know he will do that for you!

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2011We had a very tough real estate problem and were being sued. Jack quickly analyzed the problem and came up with a great plan to handle our problem. He quickly implemented his plan and kept us informed each step of the way. After just a few months the case was dismissed by the opposing party and our home was saved. Jack was absolutely great. He did what he said he would do and treated us with great dignity and compassion.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2011Jack Robinson was Great! He was very forthcoming and kept us informed of what was going on with our suit. I found him to be professional and friendly. He was also quite comforting during our stressful times. Jack showed an extensive knowledge of family law and I felt that we were in good hands at all times as he led us through the confusing workings of our legal system. He was kind enough to accommodate our work schedules and meet with us after-hours and weekends. I know who I will call when I need legal advice again ... and that's Jack! I've also recommended him to some friends.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
