The attorney's actually cared about us. It was not just a money issue but a right vs wrong issue. I usually don't care for attornies but felt I would be friends with the 2 that handled my case, outside of any legal issues

I am very impressed with Jeff's professionalism, thoroughness, and knowledge of the law. We much appreciated his personal attention to our case and his thoughtfulness. We are very happy with our settlement, it could not have been better.

I had a horrible worker's compensation case that I had been fighting for 4 years. It looked bleak even though my wife did what she could. The system does not favor the injured worker, but instead benefits the huge insurance companies. My attorney passed away and at the last minute we met with Doyle Raizner. God was on my side when I found Doyle Raizner. They took my case at the last minute and assigned Patrick Dennis and Andrew Slania. Andrew Slania took this case to trial and after 4 long years of fighting with The Travelers, Andrew Slania won the case. I could not be happier with the results. Doyle Raizner means justice for the injured worker and that's what I got. Doyle Raizner along with Andrew Slania demonstrates integrity, no nonsense, and presents the true facts. The facts as presented to the Contested Case Hearing were the same facts presented on appeal. This case shows Injured workers should not give up - there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that is Doyle Raizner.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
