Hired Attorney Elizabeth Guffy 2014-2021This person is poorly qualified to be a " fiduciary trustee" for business bankruptcy cases. She might be ok for personal bankruptcies (I don't know) but based on three business bankruptcies (two chapter 11 one chapter 7) I have watched her performance in managing the businesses through bankruptcy, at best I would say she left a lot to be desired. At worst, I would describe her performances as a shameful act of self-interest to drag the bankruptcies as long as possible so she could charge as much "administrative" fees as possible. This is a breach of fiduciary duties that trustees should be held accountable for like brokers and financial advisors. Such acts of self-interests would be subject to prosecution had the trustees not had some form of governmental immunity. In one of the two cases, she charged over 25% of the entire value of the business as administrative and legal fees. As if she was a co-founder owning over 25% shares of the company that she had no clue about until few days before bankruptcy. Of course her act of self interest left the actual founders and creditors with zero money a total loss of their investment. Business bankruptcies are generally like an unfortunate fall of a body that once was functioning well but fell ill to financial sickness. Instead of providing care for recovery, so-called Trustees like her are more like vultures who prey on the fallen ill body. What a gut-wrenching sickening experience to witness. In my review, this person gets an A for a vulture type behavior, and an F for providing a robust management care that a fiduciary trustee would provide.
