Hired Attorney 2018-2019I’m in medical sales, so when I was wrongly accused and my career was on the line, I called the best: Mark Thiessen. Mark came highly referred to me from my friends. After reading his reviews on line and meeting him in his office, I knew I could trust Mark to fight for me. Every time he walks in the court the DAs, Judge and staff all greet him. I was honestly proud that was my lawyer when he came in. I had a very complex case with some tough issues, but Mark didn’t give up. He told me: if they want to label you a criminal and cost you your career, they can find you guilty over my dead body. We set it for trial and Mark showed up very ready. The State actually dismissed my case before trial. I was so excited but, I kind of wanted to see Mark in trial. The guy is a beast. Side note: a year later, I got to see Mark in trial as he won my brother’s best friend’s trial. His whole heart and soul goes into it. He’s a fighter for sure. Hire Mark when you can’t afford to lose. He’s the best. Thank you, Mark, for saving my career.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
