Michelle was great. She was quick, efficient and had extremely reasonable rates!

Highly not recommended. Retained Law Office of Michelle Poblenz to help resolve and work through a speeding ticket I obtained serval months back and more recently a ticket for letting full coverage insurance lapse. Merry Christmas! The municipal court where these citations were issued simply called to notify me that I have a warrant out due to non payment of fines and/or non response. The municipal court had SENSE enough to use the most common and reliable way of communication today by CALLING me and notifying me a warrant had been issued for my arrest. For some reason Michelle Poblenz Law Firm doesn't let their fingers do the walking. They stated by phone "sir we notified you via email and snail general mail" its not our responsibility to call you for anything. Note: with all the security issues in email serves (junk/spam) for those that don't trade emails regularly and general mail that sometimes doesn't make it to its destination whether it is because of employee retention in postal employees or just accidently dropping correspondence in the wrong mail box. Every had a neighbor stop by and say John they accidently put your mail in our box here you go neighbor. Yep Poblenz most likely will not return their retainer fees, nor will they share any responsibility for not notifying me by phone. Just such an easy fix. I am perplexed at why such a young law firm could drop the ball like this. I'll clean their mess up myself God Willing. With a messy record to boot! Thanks Michelle Poblenz Law Firm. I certainly want be using their services in the future. Sincerely Road Warrior

Michelle is very wonderful and helpful! I simply sought a consultation and she helped with so many things! She wasn't at all concerned about the money she could make. She was concerned about helping me in my custody situation. I highly recommend this attorney!!!!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
