Hired Law firm 2025-2026STAY AWAY! Unbelievable how cowardly and disrespectful they are. You could easily do better representing yourself than hiring this group of non caring individuals. Looking for other representation will be the best choice you can make concerning your loved ones.

Hired Law firm 2026They lie to their clients to get what the other side wants. They take your money to work for the other side. They use scare tactics to get what the other side wants.

Hired Law firm 2025I am not one to write to reviews, but my experience with Duffy Law Firm was beyond disappointing. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect was shocking. I never once had a meeting start at the scheduled time — one was even over an hour late with no notice. I would reach out multiple times with no return call, leaving me completely out of the loop and confused throughout the entire process. The one time I raised concerns or offered constructive feedback, Christina reacted emotionally and refused to accept anything that wasn’t praise. Instead of addressing or even acknowledging the issues, she became vindictive and tried to bully me into finding new counsel. Despite receiving thousands from my case, she accomplished nearly nothing — and once she collected her check, she dropped me as a client without a second thought. The whole experience was beyond frustrating, and I wouldn’t recommend this firm to anyone seeking competent, respectful, or attentive representation.

Hired Law firm 2022-2023All they wanted was money. No one in the firm cared or took my case seriously, they were scared of opposing attorney and did nothing in favor of my case even when I specifically demanded it. It took an act of god to get any of them on the phone, then when I did they would not answer any of my questions, and in between hearings it was radio silence until maybe 24 hrs before if I was lucky. I would recommend anyone else or going without a lawyer. Seriously!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
