Monica R. Khirallah is a San Antonio criminal defense attorney and Senior Trial Attorney at Michael & Associates Criminal Defense Attorneys. Since being admitted to practice law in Texas in 2011, Ms. Khirallah has devoted her legal career exclusively to criminal defense representation. During her tenure at Michael & Associates, she has handled more than 310 criminal matters, including nearly 90 DWI-related cases ranging from first-offense DWI charges to felony DWI prosecutions.
She has also represented clients accused of felony drug possession, assault family violence, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, probation violations, public intoxication offenses, and other complex criminal matters. This extensive criminal defense practice has provided her with substantial familiarity with the legal, procedural, and evidentiary issues that frequently arise in Texas criminal courts.
Her experience includes cases involving blood and breath testing evidence, elevated blood alcohol concentration allegations, field sobriety evaluations, and other scientific and procedural issues commonly encountered in DWI litigation. She carefully evaluates the government's evidence, identifies potential weaknesses in the prosecution's case, and develops defense strategies tailored to the specific facts and circumstances of each client’s situation.
Known for her thorough preparation and client-focused approach, Ms. Khirallah represents clients in both negotiated resolutions and courtroom proceedings. Whether pursuing dismissals, reductions, alternative resolutions, or preparing a case for trial, she remains committed to protecting her clients' rights and helping them navigate the criminal justice system with confidence.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Ms. Khirallah is able to effectively communicate with and advocate for a diverse client base throughout San Antonio, South Texas, and surrounding communities.
Ms. Khirallah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the University of Dallas in 2007 and her Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law in 2011.
She remains active in the legal community through membership in the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Kendall County Bar Association, and the State Bar of Texas.
