Ms. Wood was born in Iowa and raised in Alabama and Texas. She attended Texas Lutheran University where she earned a bachelor's degree in English with a specialization in Writing. Ms. Wood also studied for a time in the Netherlands, where she completed a Law and Criminology program at Vrije Universiteit - Amsterdam. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she attended the University of St. Mary's School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2019.
While attending law school, Ms. Wood started her criminal defense career working as a law clerk for Ramos & Del Cueto. Upon earning her law license, Ms. Wood was hired by the Firm as an associate attorney.
