Overview
Practicing family law provides me with the opportunity to represent real people with real problems. I do not represent banks or insurance companies. I represent people who are going through divorces, people who are trying to collect child support and people who are trying to see their children.
I take pride in practicing family law. Family law touches almost every family in some way: divorce, adoption, child support, visitation, and paternity actions to name a few. The overwhelming percentage of cases heard every day in the Bexar County courthouse are family law cases. Family law is where the action is.
Each case (and client) is different. As your lawyer, my job is to analyze your situation, identify the legal issues, make sure that you are aware of your options (including mediation) and the possible consequences, and then fiercely represent you once you have determined which path to take. I am also familiar with the special issues that our service members and their spouses face in family law cases.
I am young and energetic and The Law Office of Mark C. Thompson is quickly gaining recognition in the San Antonio legal community. My mother is an established family law attorney and I have learned a great deal from working with her over the past several years.
