Reekie left a successful West Houston family law practice to open her own firm in 2012 and has since been diligently helping families in The Woodlands and surrounding areas to resolve difficult and often delicate situations ranging from divorce and child custody to modifications, enforcements and termination of rights.
Because there are no guarantees in family law, we work closely with fathers, mothers and childless couples to understand their personal situation and how we can find the best solution to their unique situation. Jennifer Reekie is a certified mediator, and she also practices collaborative law when both divorcing parties are amenable to working together. When collaboration isn’t an option, she will fight for you in litigation.
Prior to beginning her family law career, Jennifer K. Reekie worked in energy and securities law focusing on contract management and negotiation which gives her a firm background on drafting solid contract language in your divorce decree regarding your children and/or property division. A divorce decree is a contract, albeit one concerning your family and children in addition to property, and should begin with negotiations. She will take a practical look at your situation, balancing the challenging emotions of today with your long-term financial picture.
