Cody Brown is an Associate Attorney at Boyd Boyd & Giddens, P.C., where he focuses his practice on civil insurance defense, personal injury, and contract litigation. Cody joined the firm in October 2025 after serving as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Gregg County, where he managed misdemeanor dockets, prepared and argued motions, negotiated plea agreements, and gained extensive trial experience.
A native of Tyler, Texas, Cody earned his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 2024, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class and receiving the CALI Excellence for the Future Award. While in law school, he also gained practical experience through the Civil, Administrative & Family Law Clinic, assisting clients with custody modifications and civil petitions. He previously earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University in 2020.
Cody was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in April 2025. He is excited to return to his hometown to serve the East Texas community that helped shape him. In his free time, Cody enjoys golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
