Consulted Attorney 2022This law office contacted my daughter via mail about a delinquent gym membership. When VASA closed their fitness centers b/c of Covid after a time period they extended this "freeze". My daughter reached out to them via phone and email. She works in the medical field and her employer asked that employees refrain from big group gatherings. She still almost 2 years later has chosen to work out at home. Fast forward almost 2 years later she gets a letter threatening collections to pay the $58 and some change or else. She first tried to call Paramount acceptance but they said they could not give her any logged phone call information because it had been turned to the law firm. and in calling the law firm they were less than polite. They stated they had sent a letter a few months ago (we never received a letter and take things like this quite serious) She had emails from Vasa and to Vasa about this issue and canceling her membership. She also logged her phone calls with them. When she offered to email them to someone, she was told to "mail them to a PO Box" anyway she went ahead and paid the $58 fee they said they had already reported her to the credit bureau. She had a VASA membership for at least 4 years, never an issue with her payments. Complete garbage, and says nothing about them as a company. This "law firm" if they even deserve that title, complete jerks! I get they are collecting a debt, but does that give you a right to be a jackass?
