Hired Law firm 2022The people here will give you fake names and say that you owe more than what you really owe, DO NOT SEND MONEY without getting the charges you owe sent to you via mail or they will trick you into paying more than what you owe

Consulted Law firm 2022I closed an account with a local company in Tennessee. I have an email proving the date I asked for the account to be closed. I was even given a confirmation number in the email, which was sent by the owner of the company. Aldous & Associates, PLLC won't accept the email. The woman I spoke with on the phone insists that I must mail them the email by hand. They are clearly making it more difficult for proof to be sent in hopes you will pay them. Suspect behavior at the very least, but I would leverage this is borderline criminal behavior. Any legitimate business would not purposefully make it more difficult in hopes of collecting.

Consulted Law firm 2021-2022Bob at your office hung up on me twice after your office contacted me about my credit. I tried calling back several times but was disconnected after he saw my number calling back. I don't appreciate that ar all!! Very disrespectful to do this. I would doubt that he would be so disrespectful to my face. But over the phone he doesn't have a problem with it.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
