Hired Law firm 2025Choose Marty Olsen … full stop. After a horrific experience with another firm, I came to Marty mid-divorce feeling overwhelmed and convinced there was no path to resolution. Marty stepped in when I needed it most and immediately changed the trajectory of my case, restoring my hope and momentum. He is compassionate, decisive, articulate, and exceptionally skilled. I never felt like a number or billable hours. I felt genuinely cared for and competently represented. His courtroom presence and legal ability were impressive and gave me complete confidence in my decision. Once Marty took over, things moved, deadlines were met, progress was clear, and I finally reached resolution. Marty, Liz, and the entire office were professional, responsive, and supportive during one of the hardest periods of my life. I’m deeply grateful for their advocacy and commitment. I cannot recommend Marty Olsen highly enough.

Hired Law firm 2025I cannot say enough good things about Tyler Olsen as a divorce attorney. Reasonable rates and he accomplished so much within his retainer, which is rare for attorneys. Our former attorney quit just a few months before trial. Tyler stepped in and fixed the whole mess, going above and beyond to do what was right for his client and all parties involved. It’s never a good thing to need an attorney, but if you need one… hire Tyler Olsen.

Hired Law firm 2024One of the worst experiences of my life. No communication. No response to emails. Empty promises and then scheduling mediation 6 months after filing. Never got a confirmation email of mediation so I doubt it was actually set. Do not use this firm. Multiple people after I mentioned I fired them had similar experiences.do not hire Mitch Olsen or anyone from this firm.

Hired Law firm 1995-2024Marty Olsen took over my custody case after my first, big firm attorney didn't care and botched it. Marty cares, is smart, effective, respected and strategic. I have used him for all my family law needs. There is no better. I have referred him every chance I can and all my friends and acquaintances have always been more than happy. Sorry if you do but, if you need a family law attorney call Marty.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
