Consulted Attorney Gordon K. Hill 2026not worth it. spent 400 dollars to hire them for a no evidence speeding ticket. seemed like a great idea to not let it hit my record and save me from paying a ticket and taking a driving course (which wouldve totaled more than 400). I learned the hard way that I should have recorded all my phone calls with the lawyer they gave me. the lawyer had originally told me since we couldn't get a good deal worked out with the prosecutor he was willing to go to trial with me. he'd do it for free if they allowed zoom and for about 100 bucks if he had to go in person. yesterday he "worked out a deal" where they reduced my ticket by 25 bucks and i still have to take a defensive driving course. I told him that deal ain't a deal and that I had essentially paid an extra 375 dollars for the sake of fun I guess. I told him I still wanted to go to trial on the date we had scheduled about a week and a half from now and he told me I would have to now pay him 600 bucks to make him go to trial with me. not worth it. if you use these guys please for your sake, RECORD YOUR CALLS.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
