Overview
Rachel was born and raised in Washington State. She attended Seattle University School of Law and has been practicing since 2005. She has an extensive background in family law and mediation and has now transitioned to estate planning and elder law. She continues to mediate, and acts as a Pro Tem Settlement Conference Judge for the Pierce County Superior Court. She has been selected to the Super Lawyers List every year since 2017 (and to the Rising Stars List for several years before that).
Rachel is passionate about helping people transition through difficult life situations. She places the utmost importance on listening to their goals and determining the best steps to effectuate those goals. Rachel continues to reside in Tacoma with her husband. She enjoys hiking, reading, gardening (although not proficient at it), relaxing with friends, and traveling.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2009Rachel was fantastic to work with....from my first inquiry email, and the following 3 emails which provided SO much information to me, that I was able to complete my divorce proceedings using significantly LESS hours at normal lawyer rates, these PRE emails...were FREE. Not many, if any, attorney's give away time for free. She probably GAVE me an hour or more of advice to help me prepare for our first meeting. Then she was excellent in telling me my options -- and the Pros & Cons of each option. I will definitely use Rachel in the future. I was being NICE during the proceedings, but realize now there is ONE section in our final papers that I want changed -- but it was MY PROBLEM, not Rachel's. She is kind and fair, and just agressive enough as a divorce attorney to make certain you are aware of all your possible rights -- but listens if you select NOT to use all of your possible options.
