Hired Attorney 2024Mitchell is incompetent. He is young and inexperienced and has a huge bloated ego. He comes across as brash and rude in front of the judge. He also bills you in an unfair manner. You will pay tens of thousands and be represented.by an inept person with limited experience. Avoid

Hired Attorney 2022-2023Mitch is a phenomenal attorney! He handled my very complicated custody case and got me an outcome much better than I hoped for. I truly appreciate how attentive Mitch was every step of the way— communicating after hours and even on holidays to help me thru crises! All professionals involved in my case commented about how disturbing and awful it truly was, and Mitch navigated it all so perfectly. It was obvious that Mitch truly cared about the wellbeing of both my child and me. He listened to me and always proceeded with what I wanted. Even long after my case has been resolved Mitch still gives me advice from time to time, and I know exactly who to call should I need Family Law representation again. I wish I knew better words to explain just how much I appreciate this man’s legal expertise, but I don’t. I highly recommend you hire Mitch Polonsky to handle any family law matter, but especially if your case involves any sort of abuse! He will not disappoint.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
