Bret Sachter - Seattle, WA

Bret Sachter received his law degree from the Seattle University School of Law in 2012. In addition to his law degree, Bret holds a bachelor’s degree in and a master’s degree, both in evolution psychology.

To enrich his academic experiences, Bret spent extended time studying and working abroad. During his undergraduate education, he studied in Costa Rica, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Thailand. During law school, Bret participated in a joint program with Universidad Rafael Landívar in Guatemala City, Guatemala, where he completed courses on Latin American legal history and the Central American Free Trade Agreement, taught entirely in Spanish.

After law school, Bret held an associate position at a small Seattle immigration firm, where he benefited from working with a diverse client base and gaining experience in the courtroom. In 2014, Bret was admitted into the Seattle University School of Law’s inaugural Incubator Program. With the program’s support, he struck out on his own so he could shape the direction of his legal career. Having successfully started and run a business before law school, he was excited to establish his own firm in Seattle.

Since opening the firm more than a decade ago, Bret has continued to grow the practice and build lasting client relationships, drawing on his experience as both an attorney and a business owner. He is particularly proud that some of the clients who placed their trust in him when he first opened the firm continue to rely on him for their legal needs today.

Outside of work, Bret enjoys spending time with his wife, twin daughters, and trusty dog Leo. His favorite activities include cycling, scuba diving, snowboarding, rafting, and getting into the wild outdoors however he can.
