    Hired Attorney 2019-2020
    Recommends this Attorney
I hired Sarah last October for a business contract dispute litigation. The case ended 2 days ago on August 5th. I was awarded a 7 figure amount as a result of the mediation. Even though she is young and only have 4 years experience but her professional level is above and beyond. I love the most about her: hardworking, clear minded at any given time, responsive, kind and honest. I never had to call her. On a late Friday afternoon I had a need to talk with her. With not much hope I wrote an email for her to call me back. In less than 20 minutes I got a conference call from her and her partner Bob. At mediation she was fast to respond to the mediator's suggestion that the defendant would use a past email message as evidence she quickly responded: "we will try our best to exclude that piece of communication as evidence. " She charges a young attorney's rate but her professional level is above and beyond. I am 100% satisfied with this litigation. I will recommend her to anyone without hesitation. Glad I hired her.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
