In addition, Tyler is very active in the local bar association, formally serving as President of the Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Tyler was also honored in 2009 as a Top 40 Under Forty business leader by the South Sound Business Examiner.

His representative matters include:

  • Represented an elderly and retired couple who lost the lion’s share of their life savings in a real estate transaction based upon fraud and equity skimming. He obtained favorable settlement on the eve of trial.
  • Recovered over $180,000.00 for two homeowners for the builder’s breach of the implied warranty of habitability due to crawlspace flooding in each home.
  • Tried and won a seller disclosure case on behalf of a buyer of commercial real property.
  • Obtained judgments and orders enforcing employer’s non-competition agreement against former employees.
  • Represented a variety of heirs in will contests and estate disputes under the Washington State Trust and Estate Dispute Resolution Act (TEDRA).
  • Represented a number of estate personal representatives and administrators on matters, including claims for breach of fiduciary duty.
  • Represented homeowner suffering from pervasive water trespass caused by neighboring developers construction project. After a two week trial, obtained full injunctive relief.
  • Advised a commercial lender for over six years handling various enforcement actions seeking possession of commercial collateral.
  • Represented the buyer of a travel business on claims against seller. Obtained a $1.2 million judgment after a multi-week trial.
  • Represented the buyer of a convenience store against the seller on claims of breach of contract for illegally constructed septic system and misrepresentations related to the business. Obtained a judgment for the entire claim on septic system and lost property value due to septic systems misrepresentation.
  • Established new law on inheritance rights in In Re the Estate of Mower 374 Wn. App. 706, 374 P. 3d 180 (2016).
