Attorney Information
Overview
Originally from Wisconsin, I joined the United States Air Force after high school and honorably served my four-year commitment as a firefighter. After serving I returned to Wisconsin and obtained my bachelor's degree in philosophy and biology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (the same school that Portland Trailblazer's great, Terry Porter played for). From there, my sense of adventure took me to Alaska where I worked for the Forest Service as a firefighter and trail crew member. Needless to say, I have had more than my fair share of bear encounters. I then chose to relocate to the great Pacific Northwest where I attended law school at Lewis and Clark College.
Following my second year of law school, I interned with Vancouver Defenders and successfully defended people who had been accused of misdemeanors while working against experienced prosecutors. After law school, I partnered with two classmates to form SW Portland Law Group focusing heavily on civil litigation and estate administration. However, I eventually realized that I missed the criminal law world and accepted a position at W. Todd Pascoe, PLLC, where I spent a significant portion of my time in the criminal law world while keeping my saw sharp in civil litigation. I am now excited and proud to be part of the Morse Busby Andrews & Terry LLP team.
When I am not practicing law, I spend my time camping with my wife and dog; hiking the countless trails in the PNW; my annual canoe trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and rooting for Wisconsin sports teams.

Hired Attorney 2018-2019He was court appointed. I wasn't going to hire an attorney knowing I needed to be convicted as a means to the end. So in a rare twist of events, a conviction worked best for my circumstances because I was able to claim damages and proof of oppressive harassment by a key player in the conditions, for lawsuits and claims I later won. I couldn't have won those claims without the conviction. He did what I told him to do for the best outcome. He also was later court appointed on my half brothers case. My half brother is a piece of degenerate crap but McCain got his charges dismissed justifiably. So he does what you want and will find the flaws in your case.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
