Hired Law firm 2025John is one of the great ones I was facing 2 non traffic offenses and five traffic offenses facing thousands of dollars in fines and a mandatory jail sentence for driving under suspension 3rd offense with four other traffic violations he worked his magic and not ony did I walk out of that courtroom with no jail time and a small fine I walked out with a driving under suspension first offense and plead out on the lesser charge of the two non traffic offense.instead of going to jail, paying maybe 3,000.00 dollars in fines I walked out with my freedom and owing under 500.00 dollars in fines thank you truly John you are without a single doubt one of the greats.you have been there for me over 6 years now and have never one time let me down.

Consulted Law firm 2021John J. Balenovich helped me with a case that I was not sure would turn out good. He listened to me and showed he cared. Balenovich discussed my options and asked me what would I like to happen. Once that was over I was amazed by his professional gesture and how he ended up getting the case I had dismissed ! I would strongly refer him to friends and family ! Thank you again for everything

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
