Hired Law firm 2018-2023Hired him for an CPS case a in 2018. In the consultation he seemed interested, and willing to help. He never showed up to any of the MDT meetings, failed to file any motions that would have discredited the discovery packet, or take the time to speak with me. It was so bad the lawyer for CPS told me to hire someone else but I was broke and at the time ignorant on the legal process. He even called me from a blocked phone number for a week and a half. He said it was because, " he didn't want everyone knowing his number." Oddly enough I already knew his office and cell numbers. At the time I had a violent ex who also called from a blocked number so I ignored the calls. So that lead to me missing court. He told me to meet him at the court house the next day and we would sort it out. I showed up at 8:30 and he was now where to be found. They asked where he was and when I called he said home. And had no intention on coming in. I was arrested on the spot with a $1,000 cash only bond. In 2023, he was my court appointed attorney. Before my plea hearing for a driving charge we spoke. He told me what I actually did was a felony and I should stick with misdemeanor they're charging me with. Then he went into the prosecutors office told him what I said and the shared a laugh that me, my father, and the security guard heard out in the hallway. Those are all facts. So my opinion is he is not there to defend anyone.

Hired Law firm 2023-2024Absolutely recommend this law office: he did exactly what I hired him to do. He was extremely up front about the projected outcome of the case. He is matter of fact, direct and to the point. I didn’t hire him to be pleasant and flowery—I hired him to represent me. He did an extremely good job: better than expected.

Consulted Law firm 2022Called for consultation. He was extremely rude. Tried explaining the situation with my son and got only smart remarks. Zero help. Felt like I was as on trial instead of seeking legal aid. Would not recommend.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
