The Miller Legal Services with Attorney Barb Miller and her paralegal Jennifer Tometich provided accurate, clear and concise legal support thru all phases of a divorce process, from divorce papers being filed against me to a final judgement during a Zoom court appearance. Both Barb and Jennifer were timely with their information as to the divorce progress. Barb demonstrated her long experience in legal matters especially during direct settlement negotiations with the opposing attorney. Both Barb and Jennifer demonstrated a compassionate approach to the divorce situation. I strongly recommend Miller Legal services and would hire them again for legal representation.

This review is a longtime coming. Over the course of several years, Attorney Barb Miller and Paralegal Jennifer Tometich worked hard to help me transfer my out of state custody and placement orders, successfully challenge those orders for a more just situation reflecting WI state laws, and defend my rights multiple times as I attempted to co-parent with a high conflict person. To be clear, I went from having my child once every 2 weeks to 50/50 placement and later 100% placement. Additionally, Barb's help allowed me to not only improve the life and health of my family and relationship with my child, but also to establish a more equitable agreement over tax related issues, child support, and shared expenses. Barb and Jennifer are keen professionals who treat clients with compassion and skillfully applied expertise. I highly recommend Miller Legal without reservations.

Attorney Miller seemed uninterested or incapable of treating my case any differently than she was used to, even though my ex-husband was facing charges of Attempted First Degree Homicide. I was the victim. The only non-standard consideration she seemed to have was to suggest that we set up a Trust, for him. She failed to catch an obvious and significant error in the valuation of my home and left costly mistakes in the listing of our personal property division. She was obviously intimidated by the judge and consistently failed to represent my interests accurately. Her conversations with my ex led nowhere, and I was doubtful of her ability or interest in presenting my proposal suitably, despite his generally cooperative demeanor. Despite the fact that I began much of the process before hiring her and continued to take the lead since she seemed incapable of heeding my situation, her bill was more than double her original retainer. When I reached out to her about discussing the bill, she refused. When my father, who had to help me with the bill, wanted to discuss it to understand what he was paying for, she refused again, stating that we had already established with the judge that her bill was not outside of the norm for a divorce. This was true. In fact, I had to face my ex in court FIVE times before it was complete. Two of those occasions were just to establish the amount of Her bill, even after a percentage had been established which could have been applied to any final figure. You can imagine my dismay when I discovered later, on my own, that we could have simply requested a Default Judgement because he, the respondent, initially failed to formally respond! Instead, I'm still attempting to finalize the paperwork she left undone.
