Madison Family Law Lawyer
Overview
Long before law school, Kristi advocated for children and families both in the court system and in the community. She advocated for abused and neglected children as a volunteer and as a foster parent. Her work as a volunteer coordinator for homeless families with children gave her insight into the challenges faced by families in Dane County in finding basic resources and gave her a profound respect for parents working to meet their children’s needs in the midst of chaos. She seeks to be a fair, compassionate, and zealous voice for her clients.

- The Status of LGBT Parental Rights in Wisconsin after Pavan v. Smith, Wisconsin State Bar Association, 2017
Recent – and dramatic – changes in the law have granted marriage and parental equality to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender families – but should same-sex parents still obtain a court order for adoption?
