I contacted Attorney Tamara Packard because after talking to another attorney he recommended her. He told me: “she is outstanding”. The union that worked with us also recommended her and were very happy to have her on our side. She is an experienced attorney, so when I explained what I was being falsely accused of, she told me that she had already defended other clients against the same employer. When the investigation took place, she protected me from the different tricks the investigator pulled off during the interview. In the investigation process Attorney Packard found that the process had been rigged and the investigator hadn’t written out the complete testimony of the key witness in the report. The investigator, who should have been unbiased, had left out key exculpatory elements that were essential for the investigation (!). She drove several miles to have the key witness sign a truthful testimony. She is such a committed attorney! In the end the decision maker sided with us because, as Attorney Packard said at our first meeting, the accusations didn’t make any sense to start with. However, had the results been different, thanks to her deep knowledge of the law, Mrs. Packard already had a bag full of ideas to, at least, dismiss the case. It is when I reflect on what we had to go through that I am aware of how vulnerable we employees are and how important it is to have Tamara Packard by your side making sure that you are not lied to and taken advantage of, especially when the investigator is partial and is already influencing the whole narrative. I have had the great displeasure of needing an attorney on several occasions in recent years.
