Consulted Attorney 2025Reed Zars is an unmitigated LIAR and his 9 year persecution of Dave Sparks for personal gain is reprehensible. Based on no actual true facts, and even contrived facts, this joke of an attorney has made a small fortune suing a good man, who countless times again and again has helped complete strangers, the environment, and America as a whole. Dave Sparks has tried time and time again to meet with Zars and his clients, to settle out of court, to go through court ordered mitigation, which neither Zars nor his clients bothered to attend. That in itself is "Contempt of Court", which ironically is exactly what Zars had Dave Sparks wrongfully arrested for and held in solitary confinement. Were Zars or his clients arrested for this ?? NO THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEY'RE CONTEMPT OF COURT. I am completely DISGUSTED by this man and would never consider hiring him whatsoever. I'm sure this will never get published, but if even one person were to read this no matter what the outcome, at least someone besides those that support Dave Sparks, will have a idea of what kind of reprehensible person Reed Zars is. I might add that Dave Sparks has been released and vindicated in a court of law. The judge overseeing the case found that the events and dealings surrounding the case were a complete waste of time, a clear case of persecution, and based on a house of LIES. THIS WAS PURELY FOR PROFIT...NOT A SINGLE DOLLAR OF THE MONEY AWARDED AGAINST MR. SPARKS HAS BEEN USED TO BETTER UTAH'S ENVIRONMENT. Mr Sparks has done more to help the environment than Reed Zars or his clients have ever done. Zars and his clients have done this many times before involving other "Small" business owners and have made their wealth off the backs of the working man. This is disgusting behavior on a tremendously huge level. In closing I add this is my personal opinion, and the opinion of probably several thousand other intelligent other people, that Reed Zars is a reprehensible, lying, no good, waste of oxygen. I would not ever recommend him to anyone and if you have any morals whatsoever you will not ever retain this LIAR for even a "Barking Dog" complaint.

Hired Attorney 2017Mr Zars has very deep pockets & at the forefront of his persona is this environmental hero. However if you scratch the service & look into his previous cases you will see that there are indeed crimes taking place. Unfortunately however the crimes we are talking about is the daylight robbery of small businesses which he is using as a cash cow. Stay away from this man unless you want non stop billing & debt for the rest of your days...... I have never come across such a cretin who knows what he's doing & has the gall to pretend he is standing up for the environment. Stay clear from the evil

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
