Hired Law firm 2025-2026Stephen, Tim, Michelle, Corie and Brandy are force to be reckoned with. Together, they have bolstered our convoluted case with such legal proficiency and insight, while maintaining professional objectivity. We couldn't have asked for better legal representation in our civil, probate and family law matters.

Hired Law firm 2025-2026I hired The Sterling Law Group, A.P.C, for my complex probate litigation case, after having disenchanted experiences with two previous attorneys. Stephen, Tim, Michelle, Corie, Brandy and the team have been nothing but professional, efficient, knowledgeable, empathetic, sincere and were accessible when needed. Together, this remarkable team has gone above and beyond with their legal expertise in my representation.

Hired Law firm 2019-2022Put simply the Sterling Law Group really cares about every person they help. I was in a bad situation with my family who had taken advantage of a bad situation. The Sterling team handled every conversation as well as negotiations and court documents and statements with not only care for me but care for the situation. They truly cared about the specifics as well as had the knowledge as to how emotionally taxing the whole situation was on me personally. Steve and the staff were there every step and made sure that every aspect that made this situation move was taken care of and so was I. Simply they excel at professionalism, compassion, case results, and the ability to explain each step in a way that made it easy to understand. Thank you Sterling Law Group for all you do.

Hired Law firm 2023-2024I retained this company for the estate. They used monies inappropriately (filing incorrect forms and billing), used billing practices to use up monies by responding to ProPer motions not warranting a response. If you have money to give away, then this is the law firm you'd use. Marion W

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
