Rude and very disrespectful! Very racist person! Randell is not worth spending your hard earned money on.

Randall J Hicks, PC is an EXCELLENT attorney. We were dealing with a very challenging legitimization and child custody case from out of state. In speaking with Mr. Hicks, my son and I immediately felt a great sense of relief in proceeding with the challenges that lied ahead. Mr. Hicks never hesitated to speak with us directly and guide us in the right direction. He answered all of our questions thoroughly, and gave us the confidence we needed to ensure that we got the best results for my sons child custody case and ultimately my granddaughters best interests. My son has sole custody and we are all very happy! I know we made the right decision in retaining Mr. Hicks and will use him in the future if need be.

Mr. Hicks was very knowledgeable in helping me obtain partial custody of my son. He was considerate of my financial obligations to my family; when payment was due, he worked with me to establish a payment plan that worked with my financial situation. I am a Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Service Medal Combat veteran. Mr. Hicks does a great job serving veterans.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
