I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with my divorce attorney. From the very beginning, they were professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely committed to protecting my best interests. Divorce can be an incredibly stressful and emotional process, but having an attorney who listened, explained everything clearly, and guided me through each step made a difficult situation much more manageable. I am extremely grateful for the hard work, dedication, and attention to detail they provided throughout my case. I always felt that my concerns were taken seriously and that I had someone in my corner who truly cared about achieving the best possible outcome. I would absolutely recommend their services to anyone going through a divorce and looking for an attorney they can trust. Five stars without hesitation!

I cannot recommend Sahara Bell highly enough. For nearly nine years, my child's father and I managed parenting and financial matters amicably without court involvement. When circumstances changed and I needed to pursue a formal child support order to protect my daughter's interests, I was overwhelmed and unsure of what to expect. From the very beginning, Sahara was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly supportive. She took the time to explain the law, answer my questions, and make sure I understood every step of the process. What I appreciated most was her honesty. She never told me what I wanted to hear, she told me what I needed to know and gave me realistic, sound legal advice. When my child's father attempted to negotiate an amount that was far below what the court guidelines supported, Sahara carefully explained the legal realities and advocated effectively on my daughter's behalf. Thanks to her preparation, expertise, and dedication, the court ultimately awarded child support that reflected my daughter's needs and rights. I also want to recognize her staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Whenever I had questions or concerns, they responded quickly and made sure I had the information I needed. Having a team that communicates well made a stressful process so much easier. This process was emotional and stressful, but having Sahara and her team in my corner gave me tremendous peace of mind. I always felt heard, respected, and well represented. As a mother, knowing that my daughter's future was being protected meant everything to me. I am incredibly grateful for Sahara's guidance, expertise, and advocacy, and I would not hesitate to recommend her and her team to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate family law attorney. Thank you, Sahara and team!

I have never experienced representation this poor from a professional entrusted with matters as serious as family law. The most significant failure was missing a critical deadline to respond to Requests for Admission. I had provided all necessary responses more than three weeks before the due date. This was not a filing that required legal research, strategic analysis, or complex drafting—it simply required submitting information that had already been provided. Despite this, the deadline was missed, creating substantial prejudice to my case and forcing me to spend additional time and money attempting to mitigate the consequences. Rather than accepting responsibility, the firm refused to acknowledge the error. The problems did not stop there. Documents were served to the wrong address despite the correct address appearing in the very motion they prepared. Subpoenas were issued to third parties without my authorization and contrary to my instructions. I was billed significant fees for motions that appeared to be copied and pasted from other cases, including incorrect party names and factual allegations that had nothing to do with my matter. Communication was consistently poor. Numerous emails went unanswered, while time and resources were devoted to issues I had specifically indicated were not priorities. Throughout my representation, I repeatedly emphasized that my primary concern was the emotional and psychological well-being of my children. I was willing to delay or limit financial discovery if necessary to address those concerns. Instead, my priorities were largely ignored, and the issues affecting my children received insufficient attention. Perhaps most troubling was the overall lack of professionalism. Deadlines were missed, instructions were disregarded, errors went uncorrected, communication was unreliable, and commitments made in the representation agreement were not fulfilled. The combination of incompetence, poor judgment, lack of attention to detail, and unprofessional conduct caused unnecessary stress, expense, and harm to my case. I would strongly encourage anyone considering hiring this firm to carefully evaluate other options before entrusting them with an important legal matter.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
