Attorney Information
Overview
I have dedicated my legal career to ensuring those who have been wronged by the actions of another find relief in the justice system. I have prosecuted complex legal and factual scenarios, through all phases of litigation, specifically adult and child sex offenses, murder, assault, robbery, child abuse/neglect, and domestic violence. I am adept at navigating the legal system, leveraging resources and engaging in mediation and settlement negotiations.
My time as a prosecutor not only honed the skill set necessary to take on the “hard” cases, it made me comfortable in the courtroom arguing cases to jury verdicts in both first and second chair positions. I developed a high level of empathy that carried over to my civil practice. My desire to ensure that those who have been wronged by the tortious, discriminatory, or negligent conduct of others drives me to dedicate my legal skills to ensuring the justice system is employed to ensure the rights of all people are upheld.
In law school, I interned with the Honorable Zel M. Fischer of the Missouri Supreme Court, participated in the prosecution and veteran’s clinic, and was recognized for excellence in advocacy in multiple moot court and mock trial competitions. Before attending law school, I served my country in the United States Army. I commissioned in the top two percent of Active Duty Appointees nationwide and was honored to be selected to serve as a helicopter pilot. I deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn, flying combat missions as an Attack Scout Helicopter Weapons Team Air Mission Commander and Pilot in Command.
My peers and supervisors describe me as tenacious and dedicated. I am passionate and will fight for my clients to get the best possible outcome. When not advocating for others, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children and squeezing in a good book on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
