Hired Law firm 2021-2024I'm a client and I can honestly say that These lawyers don't often communicate with their clients too often and They're very costly and slow when working on a case I personally say that it's been a long long long process and I honestly thought we'd be done and justice served and my son and myself can finally find peace and put this whole Singular nightmare behind us but as far as I'm concerned I wouldn't recommend these lawyers to anyone at all you want a lawyer that can get results in good timing well these aren't the best lawyers for that so shop around and do the research first don't end up disappointed like myself and my son and still waiting for justice after nearly 2 years.

Hired Law firm 2019-2020Beware of Daniel Bernheim. Looks and acts like a nice guy. Gave him 5k retainer and never used it. Had a small claims case and figured rather then ask him for the unused retainer id have him come just to have a lawyer present. He handles company cases and I knew small claims wasn't his thing but really didn't need him anyway. 2 appearances, 2 hours each one. Guess what? The weasel billed me 12k for it. Thought it was clearly a billing error. The case wasn't even for that much. Had the nerve to try and justify it. Do yourself a favor. Somebody that would backdoor you like that for chump change will really get you when real money is involved. He doesn't know the first thing about being a stand up guy. When people talk bad about lawyers, they are referring to weasels like Bernheim. Smile in your face and stab you in the back! You been warned.

Hired Law firm 2017I am giving this law firm NO Stars but had to put one. I was charged 18,000 to go in and plead guilty or end up in jail for 6 months. I trusted this law firm while I was in corporate and lost everything. I plan on reporting this law firm to the bar association. I recommend for anyone to NEVER hire a lawyer from this firm. He charged me THOUSANDS for phone calls to a prosecutor this was my first time offense and the prosecutor discriminated against me denial into PTI for a Social worker was "intent to harm". This lawyer promised me a reconstruction of the accident since it was CLEAR the other driver hit me. The Roselle cop wrote a falsified police according to his FRIEND the other driver. I was denied medical attention even after the cop used a CROW bar on my door. This lawyer did no even NOTICE all the civil rights violations the cop had done. This is how NJ treated a SOCIAL WORKER. Thank you! I am currently unemployable with a felony charge and have been a victim of trafficking not to mention saw a trafficked woman slit her wrists on a webcam by my past NJ employer who has been on Probation for 2 other domestic violence charges. So, yes NJ has a cop buddy system.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
