Verified ClientHired Attorney 2020-2021I had the chance to work extensively with Jennifer. From day one she was seemingly limitless with her level of detail and organization. Jennifer worked hard to be efficient with my resources yielding results with every dime spent! I had a sense of both confidence and security having Jennifer represent me throughout my case! I would highly recommend Jennifer!

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2020-2021I approached Raleigh Divorce Law firm during my separation from my husband. Jennifer Sinclair was the attorney who handled my case. I was very pleased with Jennifer's professionalism, competence and very approachable and friendly nature. She was very helpful and sweet and guided me through a very difficult phase of my life. The entire process was handled in a timely manner and I was informed and explained every step of the process. She was also very good with responding back to any questions or doubts I had during the process. I am also very pleased with Aimee Sanders who was the paralegal assisting Jennifer in my case. Thank you.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
