Verified ClientHired Law firm 2020-2021There is no such thing as a "good" or "enjoyable" divorce, but Jennifer Sinclair and her team certainly made it efficient. They provided excellent advice, diligently managed the paperwork throughout the process, and were very responsive to any inquiries. I would definitely recommend their services.

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2019-2021There are few words that would properly address the gratitude I have for this firm, my Attorney, Ms. Sinclair, the paralegal I have worked with most predominantly, Ms. Sanders and the entire firm team. Addressing every single concern that has come up and working tirelessly (and that is not a strong enough word) towards resolution. I was concerned that the nuance and detail to my case and circumstances could be lost in just the overwhelming scope of my particulars, but the RDLF team drilled down to my specific goals and put every option on the table and supported every decision that I came to make. With endless passion, creativity and meticulous practice of Law I could not more wholeheartedly recommend working with this firm. Careful, thoughtful and kind throughout the process with a delicate application to me and mine at the forefront of their work always.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
