Hired Attorney 2022On July 25, 2022, David Ratcliff, rat me out and sold me out to the other Lawyer and Court, got my 10 years old granddaughter taken from me, and given her to her so call dad that never did anything for his daughter but abused her and let his parents abused her as well and no one did nothing, not the court nor DHS, they All throw her back into the Lion Den with the dad and his family! I hired David to protect my granddaughter and I did get emergency guardianship on January 10, 2022, when she failed Really Sick at the dad and his parents house, thereafter the court day on yesterday July 25, 2022, he did not submit the photos that were taken of my granddaughter when she loss weight and weighed only 60 pounds when I got her in January 10, 2022, David did not submit those photos to the Judge, the other parties, nor to the court clerk those photos were not included along with other evidence that should have been filed at the clerk office and submitted to the Judge and other parties of the Guardianship (Custody Hearing) before the Judge gave custody to the so call father, all the evidence should been filed at the clerk office, he failed to do that! Now, my 10 years old granddaughter is right where she was before she hen she almost died! Also, at the so call hearing everything went wrong, and my 10 years old granddaughter was force and multilateral to go back into that deadly environment that almost killed her in July 10, 2022, and no one cared about her well me includes DHS! Lord have mercy in their souls! I give this lawyer a 0 rating and he took my husband and I money and it was all about money in my granddaughter custody case! It was never about saving her life, because she was placed right back in that same home with those same people, who abused and neglected her in so many ways! But, I gave it all to The Lord God, who they know nothing about! This was a deadly and sad day for me knowing what would happen deadly to my 10 years old granddaughter!

Hired Attorney 2018-2019David handled my grandmothers estate and probate. He explained everything and kept us to date on the process. He was very professional and returned calls. I thought his fees were very reasonable. I can highly recommend him.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
