Consulted Law firm 2012-2015This message is for Peter Newman. My name is Joseph long Jr, the brother of Eric j long. Peter represent my brother for a personal injury case for$20,000 right before he passed away. The mother of his daughter who was and his daughter name is which upon his death the money was supposed to be left to his daughter Alexa and his brother who is me Joseph jr. Now somehow Caitlin got her hands on 10,000 of that money and spent the whole entire thing on nothing but drugs partying and more drugs. She did not even have her daughter her Aunt Claire had her daughter and so did my mother Cheryl Long. Now the vulture went and opened up and estate somehow in my brother's name to try and get the other $10,000. This girl wasn't even around for years when my brother died or didn't even find out for 2 years after my brother died and collects social security blood money for his daughter with survivor benefits and uses that money for Xanax and Percocets and pot. I will have to take this to claims court and I will not stop until Justice is served so can you please get back to me so we can resolve this matter please he is turning in his grave right now thank you very much bye

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
