I received an initial consultation regarding the dissolution of a business and Paul Hollender provided a thorough explanation of the issues and options for me to consider. I am very appreciative. Thank you Paul!

If it's possible to give lawyers a bad name, this law firm has managed to do so. I've recorded their staff purposefully failing to respond to calls and email, lie in writing and on the phone, take my family's money, and even violate signed Stipulations with multiple parties. In all my experience, this is the worst I've ever had in this field. I wholehearted cannot advise you more strongly to avoid Mr. Corash and his firm. Please protect your family and finances and find a reputable law firm.

Job Well Done!! 5 stars for Corash & Hollander. I retained Ms. Miriam Zakary to represent me in a property damage/dispute case. She was Amazing in the court room! I am very pleased with the outcome!! Ms. Zakary helped me every step of the way and guided me through this difficult process. If you are need of great representation I would HIGHLY recommend Ms. Zakary for all of your legal needs.

My legal matter was complex. Mr. Hollender?s Counsel not only resolved my legal issue but was also entirely ethical and wise to the peripheral details. I was grateful to be comforted as he guided me through this difficult process as well.

Many thanks to Mr. Hollender for his professionalism and expertise. What a kind and caring man. To Paralegal Camille your awesome. You guided me every step of the way. You both reassured me and helped me see the light at the end of the long dark tunnel. I can't express how grateful I am to you both. As unfortunate as it is to have found myself claiming bankruptcy it was actually a blessing getting to know these two wonderful people. If you find yourself in need of legal counsel for bankruptcy look no further, they are excellent! With their knowledge, kindness, expertise and professionalism they turned my life around. Forever grateful.

Mr Hollender and his Staff provided me with the expertise and support I needed to rebuild myself after a financial crisis. They are always available, kind and informative. They held my hand through one of the scariest times of my life and gave me the confidence to begin again. I would say they are affordable and also the finest staten island has to offer in terms of bankruptcy law.

Bankruptcy is a word that you never want to utter whether about yourself or for other people. It sounds daunting and heavy and most importantly scary. But when financial troubles hit you for whatever the reason may be not only does it sound scary but you can physically feel it. You can feel the heaviness on your shoulders, you can feel your body being tired from restless nights of sleep, you can feel the exhaustion from trying to dig yourself out of a never ending hole. So what can you possibly do? Corash & Hollender were the answer at least to my question. Everyone all the way to the receptionist was warm and welcoming. Paul Hollender is an honest lawyer and a straight shooter. Paul and Roberta (the paralegal assigned to my case) were on call for me whenever I had a worry or if a question popped into my head. They calmed my nerves and my anxiety about the heavy step I was about to make. The whole team makes sure all the i?s are dotted and the t?s are crossed before making any big legal move. From start to finish it seemed like a snap of a finger and the whole transition into my new life was very smooth and easy. And he doesn?t stop working. Paul and his team want to help you. Help you rebuild. Help you with your fresh start. Teach you the lessons so you don?t loose your way again. They make you feel like family. They never made me feel embarrassed or ashamed. Life happens, mistakes are made, and it?s okay. We are all taking control of it the best way we can. And Paul and his team are there for you every minute of the way even after everything is over. I feel I sense of relief. I feel like a new begging was granted to me. I feel smarter financially. I can sleep better. I have gained control again. And that is all thanks to Corash & Hollender and their brilliant team. Thank you for giving me my second chance.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
