Working with Brian McKeen and Richard Counsman was a great experience. Their patience and dedication to getting my child a settlement she deserved was more than appreciated. I truly was ready to give up on trying and feeling a little defeated. I started trying cto get justice for my daughter in 2016, and in 4 years I had been through 3 law offices. So me took a few months to say they wouldn’t pursue the case, some took a year plus to decide not to pursue the case. In May of 2025 I can only feel blessed and grateful that I made that decision. Instead of the sad and unfortunate NO I was used to getting after a few months to a year+ of waiting. Rich ensured I was more than prepared, when it came time for the deposition and throughout the case as a whole. I was kept up to date throughout the process, whenever I felt a little nervous due to the amount of time it was taking, I was always reassured that justice would be served, it just takes some patience. Barbara Colbert-Brooks, which is Rich legal assistant, was also extremely helpful and professional during this process. She had great communication skills, always replied to emails and always found me the answers I was seeking. I appreciate her setting up meetings, phone calls, reminder emails, and ensuring things were in order. I only had a short period of time with Barb, since we got acquainted in April 2025 (in the law firm, legal assistants tend to change often/at random). However I’m appreciative to have worked with her. Barb was very well versed, extremely responsive, seemed to know and understand the case well and it was like she was there the whole 4.5 years. I thankful I decided to make that final attempt for my daughter when I found McKeen and Associates, it has been my best decision yet.Our case has been settled and I’m more than satisfied with the results.
