    Matt is easily in the top 1% of family law attorneys in Texas. He operates at a level that is difficult to find in family law. He approaches every situation with clear strategy, strong judgment, and a deep understanding of how outcomes are actually achieved. He has the ability to handle the immediate situation while also seeing beyond it. He consistently positions his clients in the strongest possible way. He and his paralegal, Sanaa Hazratjee, were very professional and responsive to my emails and many phone calls. They were very empathetic while also being pragmatic about the optics of my case .     I used this law firm for my divorce & child custody. The process was very smooth. Attorney Robby Wendell and paralegal Sanaa Hazratjee were extremely helpful throughout the process. They answered all my (many) questions thoroughly and were very personable. I would highly recommend them.     My divorce began in 2021 with another law firm and was finalized in 2022. Unfortunately, the firm I first hired left me feeling unsupported and unprepared for the challenges that come after a divorce, especially when children are involved. Post-divorce life brings new issues, unexpected complications, and moments where you need quick, decisive legal guidance. I was referred to Skillern Firm by a family friend, and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself and my children. I first secured Skillern Firm under a General Legal Advice contract to help me navigate the ins and outs of post-divorce life and ensure I was always making choices in my children’s best interest and following the decree. When conflicts escalated, I retained them for court representation. Working with Alex Foster, Lauren Birdsong, and Matt Skillern gave me an incredible sense of relief during one of the most emotionally exhausting times of my life as I prepared for court.
