Consulted Attorney 2024Does not appear to know the law. She is abusive and gives poor advice to people who are depending on her to explain the law. I would not recommend this person. Very sketch.

Hired Attorney 2024-2025I had written a review on Ms. Sheri Bryce Dye several months ago and she asked me to remove it because it would affect her clientele and I did remove the post. Ms. Dye informed me that I would be kept up-to-date with my aunt's Will that needs to be Probated. NOTHING had been done on this Will and just this year her assistant, Martha filed some paperwork that they should of filed last year. I wrote to Martha to ask if our paper work had been filed with the Court and she never responded as of today. I had to call the Court to find out if my paper work had been file and it was..but my cousin's Witness Report had not been filed even though Martha said she had received it and filed it. I would not hire Ms. Dye but we were transfered to her by a previous attorney that did nothing in two (2) years. If we don't get this Will probated soon, I will be taking further State actions. Hired Attorney 2022-2025This lawyer Sheri Bryce Dye is the most horrible lawyer . I had hired Mrs Bryce Dye to handle my custody case for my grandson. It took her 2 years and 4 months to complete, after I kept trying to call her and text her. I totally do not recommend it his lawyer.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
