Verified ClientConsulted Attorney 2021-2022Jessica was truly invested in my grandson’s case. She has checked in with him and I before the case, during the case, and after the case,. She always had my grandsons, best interest in mind, and conveyed that to the judge. We received the final reports just the way she had intended them to be. We highly enjoyed working with Jessica.

Hired Attorney 2023-2024Jessica has truly been a God send. The light shining in darkness that captured me for some time. The grief could not be measured. I had lost hope and had a minor incident hanging over my head for some time and was so weight bearing that I couldn’t handle the heaviness any longer. She was strong, confident, and very professional throughout the entire process. Though she was not in the county and over an hour away, she went above and beyond to ensure the final outcome was fair and was not afraid to call out any unjust circumstances and behavior. She has a lot of courage and couldn’t have received better council. In a drastic way, my life has changed as of today and I am set free of the burden that once existed. Thank you is an understatement! May the good lord always be with you and your future clients and endeavors. Kind regards, M.B.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
