Verified ClientHired Law firm 2017-2019My name is Jeffrey A. from New York City. I have a situation which so unfair with one client when I started my owned business. I was new, I and my wife work more than 16 hours a day with pay for 70% less than a normal project. The client has a limited budget and he wants mountains of work, I ask him to hire people to do the other parts of the work which he doesn't. To cut the long story short, he sued me to get all the payments he made to me which we pay the electric, equipment, internet, and taxes of that 70% less of normal pay. To start I don't have a lot of resources to fight for this abusive client which I'm a start-up business. Hired Law firm 2024I hired Ralph Gaboury of Cox Padmore Skolnik & Shakarchy LLP to help me with a cease & desist letter I received from a company. I had no idea as to the legal merit of the letter, or what my options were. He took the time to listen to me to understand my relationship (legal and personal) with the company. While at face-value seems like a bare-minimum expectation, where I was thoroughly impressed was with which the quickness he understood it, as in my experience talking with other lawyers on the same topic, they had a hard time successfully grasping it. Ralph helped me understand the grey areas, strengths, and weaknesses the Cease & desist letter had, as well as my quantified risks and choices of options I had in front of me, to allow me to make an informed decision as to a legal course of action.
