Overview
One of the most important parts of legal representation is knowing that someone is paying attention to the details. At Sand Law, our Matthews, North Carolina, office takes that responsibility seriously. We represent people whose lives may have been disrupted by an accident, injury or criminal allegation, providing guidance intended to bring greater clarity to complicated legal situations.
Our firm was founded by William Sand and Richard Sand. Our work is grounded in preparation and communication, with an emphasis on understanding each client’s circumstances before developing a legal strategy. We recognize that the same type of legal matter can affect two people in very different ways.
Personal injury clients may come to us after a motor vehicle accident, slip-and-fall incident, dog bite, child injury or traumatic brain injury. We help clients examine the circumstances of an injury and understand the legal options that may be available. Our reported results include a $1.2 million trial victory in a traumatic brain injury case, $1.1 million in a bicycle accident case and $400,000 in a negligence case.
We also represent individuals accused of criminal offenses. Our criminal defense practice encompasses DUI/DWI, drug crimes, misdemeanors, felonies and federal charges. We approach each allegation by reviewing the facts and circumstances and considering the legal issues that may influence the defense.
Two reported cases demonstrate our criminal defense results. In State v. CM, a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. In State v. L.A., two felony charges related to violations of a restraining order were dismissed.
