At our Treena Street office in San Diego, California, The Law Offices of Mark Deniz APLC delivers focused representation in criminal defense, DUI, prostitution and solicitation, and domestic violence cases, complementing the services available at our main San Diego office and branch locations in Escondido, Carlsbad, Chula Vista and Pacific Heights Boulevard.
Mark Deniz, our founder and lead attorney, has committed more than two decades to criminal law, starting as a prosecutor shortly after his 2002 graduation and 2003 admission to The State Bar of California. He handled prosecutions as a deputy district attorney in Tulare County between 2004 and 2009, followed by a tenure as a deputy city attorney with the San Diego City Attorney's Office through 2013 – the same year he established our firm to represent the accused rather than pursue them.
This firsthand experience inside the prosecution's office remains one of our greatest assets. We know how cases are assembled, how evidence is tested and how law enforcement builds its narrative, and we use that knowledge to challenge the state's case from every angle. Rather than taking a reactive stance, we begin working on our clients' behalf the moment we are engaged, identifying weaknesses long before a hearing date arrives.
Beyond his prosecutorial background, Mr. Deniz has trained with the U.S. Department of Justice, the San Diego County District Attorney's Office and the California District Attorneys Association, and furthered his education at Harvard Law School and the National College for DUI Defense. He also contributes to the broader legal community as an author and faculty member, teaching other attorneys about criminal defense strategy, while his frequent courthouse appearances have built lasting familiarity with San Diego County's judges and prosecutors.
